All parts brought in should be 100% disassembled and free of oil, grime, mud, anything else that can attract to parts. Everything is sandblasted to provide us the best adhesion for the powder coat and is cured between 350-400 degrees.
Powder coating is commonly applied to metals, but can be found on plastic, wood, and even glass.
Description:
We use a line of ceramic called Cerakote which can be air or oven cured. Cerakote is the most durable high temp coating on the market and can be used for multiple applications other then just exhaust. Those can include but are not limited to gun barrels, internal or external engine parts, radiators, etc.
Benefits:
We highly recommend any tuning of an engine done prior to the coating on an exhaust system.
We offer two ways to prep metal prior to powder coat or paint. We can use a chemical adhesion for all fresh steel parts to help reduce cost.
Sand blasting is the most effective way to prep steel. We use a variety of media including glass bead, garnet, aluminum oxide, and coal slag. Our mobile blast rig can be used as dry blasting or wet blasting.
